Memory Speed Testing

As Ryzen’s high-speed data connect, Infinity Fabric, is directly linked to memory speed, getting the fastest memory you can has always been a good idea. That’s not been easy, not least of all because getting above 3,000MHz has been tricky due to poor compatibility and optimisation. Now, though, things have changed and as you can see below, using fast memory is pretty essential when it comes to Ryzen. We’ve used a 3,400MHz G.Skill Sniper 16GB dual-channel kit to switch between 2,666MHz, 3,000MHz and 3,400MHz in a selection of tests that respond particularly well to fast memory, to see what speed boosts you can expect.
